Like Louise said: make it organic, spontanious and not for the purpose of a tv programme. And I honestly think she's right. Do we really want to see a sobbing member or a really akward silence when no one knows what to say to the other. I think we do just for the fact of them being together, but it would be so much better if they were just together and just released a song or something, without all the drama.
As much as I don't want to, I have to admit that I just don't see it happening. Gossip-mongers know that there are enough Eternal fans out there that they'll read anything about them, whether it's true or not, thus getting more hits on their website. If it is true, you'd think they'd spell Kelle's name correctly!
I think it will end up happening. The original Sugababes denied they were getting back together when it was so obvious they were. If Eternal are getting back together via a TV show then so be it. Better than nothing, and the nice thing about this will be all the great publicity they will get. It couldn't be any worse or any more humiliating than when that Arena Tour (with only Easther and Kelle may I add) fell through. It will be interesting to find out more about the history of the band as far as the splits and everything went. We will get to see the record be set straight. I pray this happens, and am already fairly convinced it will
It just seems like odd timing. Kelle is very heavily pregnant right now. If they did do this show, when would it actually be filmed? Is it just a one-off type thing, with the girls going back to their separate lives afterwards?
I'm not sure why the pregnancy keeps getting mentioned...
Kelle is due within the next few weeks. Filming started in Feb next year. Tour doesn't start until May.
I'm pretty sure a couple of the girls from this years BR series 1 had just had baby's...
And IF they do decide to do this show, im pretty sure they would do it as a one off to End eternal how it should of ended. ( this of course depends on how well it goes and if they actually wanted to record a new album )
I can see a repackaged greatest hits at best. But i'll be happy to see them perform together one last time if nothing else.
The only issue I have with the reunion is with Louise being the main focal point of the reunion. I hope that doesn't happen. All the members should be treated equally. One other small thing I think would be disappointing would be if the girls don't end up releasing new music, but hopefully they will be inclined to release something. As long as its nothing like the new song released by The Honeyz, which is pretty much terrible.
If this reunion does happen, it will be a dream come true, and any complaints I have about it are very small. I've been waiting to hear from Eternal for years and years. I remember waiting to hear from them after the Greatest Hits, because everything had gone so quiet, and those two years feeling like an agonizing wait. 2 years is nothing compared to 13 years though lol.
I'm almost certain Eternal will be reforming for TBR2. I cant see why the media would speculate about Eternal as in the medias eyes they are not a massive group and wouldnt bring that much media attention. It might just be me hopeful of a reunion but it just doesnt make sense why the media are using Eternal to get noticed. Nice to see them mentioned again. Hope it will be true. #eternal20
I've been watching this and I'm not sure I'd be happy if the girls did it.
It's all a bit cheesy and cheap with the whole tour bus thing...can you imagine Easther and Vernie on that? I can't. None of the bands featured had anything close to the level of success Eternal had. Eternal were more of a female Take That, not on the same level as bands like Liberty X and 911. It's fun watching groups like the Honeyz on it (nobody I know even has any idea who they are) but I reckon Eternal are too good for it. Even All Saints turned it down and they weren't nearly as successful as Eternal.
I agree in some aspects. However I think this really is a case of now or never. And joining a ready made hit show is possibly their best option.
I'm not convinced the girls would want to come back as a full time band with a new album ( in an organic way as Louise say's) I'm pretty sure Kelle would want to carry on with Acting... This is the perfect opportunity to gain exposure, play to sell out Arena's. And in my mind giving Eternal positive Closure. ( Anything else is a bonus )
I also think you are forgetting how successful some of the other bands have been.
All Saints 10m Records, Five 20m Records, Blue 13m Records. All saints had FIVE number one's, that's huge!
Louise's tweet today about the Stay anniversary is the first time I've seen her actively acknowledging Eternal. Got to be a good sign. I agree Eternal are too good for the BR, but on the other hand, they will be so slick, with the best vocals, so they should steal the show. Savvy enough to avoid discussing the dramas of the past too much. I'll be happy just to see what Easther looks like at the moment #braidsplease
It's Great that she has acknowledged Eternal. Especially on the 20th Anniversary week.
I still don't think she would ever go near the Big Reunion. (which she has stated many times) I think the only possible scenario i could see happening is (Easther,Vernie,Kelle) taking oart and then if it were to go well Louise would join them after for their own tour..
I may be thinking too big and too far ahead however.
